Time clauses say when things happen when referring to a period of time or another event. He reached just as the clock was striking ten. She arrived after the bell had rung.

Place Clauses say where things happen by indicating the location or position of things.

Mary's lamb followed her wherever she went. Wherever Mary went the lamb followed her. Manner Clauses say how things are done or how someone behaves.

Conditional Clauses are used when talking about a possible situation and the consequences of the situation. If you don't reach in time, you will not get a seat. You will not get a seat unless you arrive in time. 

Purpose Clauses are used to indicate the purpose of an action. They put up a barrier so that people could not run on to the tennis court. 

Reason clauses indicate a reason for an action. He went with his sister just in case she needed his help. Result Clauses indicate the result of something. Say it slowly so that we can all understand it.

Concession clauses contrast with something else you wish to say. We went out even though it looked like a storm was approaching.
